DPW provides sandbags for District residents to brace for tropical storm

In response to a tropical storm that could deliver several inches of rain across the District during the next 24 hurs, the DC Department of Public Works will be distributing up to five sandbags (per household) to District residents beginning 4 pm today at its New Jersey Avenue and K Street, SE, site

The Document Exhibit Returns to DC for 2 nights only!

The Document originally premiered at the District of Columbia Arts Center (DCAC) in Adams Morgan in 2005 and is a collaboration of seven distinctly different artist & dancers. It is a show comprised of photography, 2-D works, and multimedia, all in an attempt to show a very unique form of art. Not only does the show delve into the actual finished works but also the story of their creation. The work created is very revolutionary in that the artists use the dance form of Breakdancing or B-Boying to be the literal vehicle that moves paint over canvas.
