Sushi Social honors local restaurant and raises domestic violence awareness

Local professionals and entrepreneurs gathered at Jordan’s 8 Restaurant, in Capitol Hill, to celebrate the establishment’s “DC’s Top Spot” honor and to raise funds for non-profit organization Women Empowered Against Domestic Violence (WEAVE). Attendees enjoyed an evening of music, quality conversation, mini make-overs, cocktails and complimentary sushi.

Officials and residents celebrate the opening of DC’s new green business incubator

Washington, DC’s new Center for Green Urbanism attracted 200 of the area’s top elected officials, small business advocates, artists and residents to its grand opening celebration on Friday, October 15. The day began with a ribbon cutting ceremony and press conference, followed by eco-interior design discussions, center tours and an opening art reception for the ReCREATE exhibit.
