Last week, I had the pleasure of being a guest at “10×10 Shoot For Change” at Puro Café, in Georgetown. “10×10” refers to 10 photos for $10 towards a charity; a fun and unique way to raise awareness and support a cause. Walter Grio, is the amazing photographer and “accidental philanthropist” behind the concept.

I have always felt that it’s not about the product that you are using, it is more about how you are applying the product. That’s right, using the right brush makes all the difference. I don’t usually endorse any particular product, but I do try products and provide you with my honest opinion of whether it worked for my clients and/or me. Lately, I have been on the search for great brushes at great prices and I just think, I may have found them, Sigma Makeup.

Consumers are very interested in organic foods and organic cosmetics. But organic cosmetics aren’t always what the seem. Unless they have the USDA Organic seal on them, the U.S. government has not certified that the products are organic. Many consumer groups are unhappy about this and are urging the USDA to get involved and investigate many of the fraudulent claims in the industry.
