Last Saturday, Shen Yun Performing Arts played before a sold out crowd at the Kennedy Center Opera House. The New York based group, comprised mainly of Chinese Americans, is dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of traditional Chinese culture through the arts.

Last week, I had the pleasure of being a guest at “10×10 Shoot For Change” at Puro Café, in Georgetown. “10×10” refers to 10 photos for $10 towards a charity; a fun and unique way to raise awareness and support a cause. Walter Grio, is the amazing photographer and “accidental philanthropist” behind the concept.
