Cinderella Foundation Presents Fashion With A Purpose

This past Sunday, the Cinderella Foundation hosted its annual fundraiser, “Fashion With A Purpose” at the luxurious Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Southwest Washington.  The event included a charity auction, personal fashion consultations, and a runway show featuring designs by several Project Runway alumni and other highly sought after designers.  Fashion with a purpose was a star studded event including one of DC’s favorite men, LaVar Arrington who served as co-host along with the lovely Taylor Thomas of WHUR 96.3 fm.


Founded by Diane Cole Stevens, the Cinderella Foundation works with girls and women in the DC community and West Africa through ongoing mentoring and academic enrichment, thereby strengthening their self-esteem.  The foundation is helping to economically empower the women of Sierra Leone, West Africa by providing cosmetology training.  For more information, visit http://www.cinderellafoundation.org/.
