Barry Sings The Blues For Gray Campaign

As election day draws near, local politicians are pulling out all stops. Council member, Marion Barry, recently unleashed a secret weapon to help Coucil Chairman Vincent Gray in his campaign for mayor. Barry broke down and sang the Blues, while wearing a “Gray for Mayor” t-shirt, at Ward 8 Day festivities! WHW i-Reporter, Heron Gibran, captured it all on tape.

Fenty’s Wife Tearful After Mayoral Debate

Last week, Mayor Fenty and Vince Gray went head to head in a mayoral debate at the Newseum. During which, the candidates were asked some tough questions. A Washington Post reporter referred to Fenty as a “post-racial politician” and asked the Mayor to address the perception that he does not relate to black residents, in the District.

Washington Redskins General Manager Bruce Allen will be the guest of honor when The NFL Players Association – Former Players, Washington, DC Chapter (NFLPAFP-DC) and the Washington Redskins Alumni host “Return to Glory: 2010 NFL Season Kickoff Party” on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 from 7pm – 11pm at Union Jack’s Restaurant in Arlington, Virginia. The event is being held to allow fans to celebrate the return of the NFL season with their favorite former NFL greats while raising money for the players’ favorite charities.
