“Where my mother fathers at?”
The above phrase only makes sense if you are familiar with the Youtube video craze that is the Swagger Wagon aka Toyota Sienna Swagger Wagon Video. But whether you are hip to that or not the question on the mind of a minivan buyer is, “What sets this vehicle apart?”
In comparison to the rest, the 2011 Toyota Sienna XLE is at the head of the class. In a school full of minivans the Sienna stands out in superlative fashion as best personality, best dressed and most likely to speed.
The Toyota Sienna has a powerful V6 that puts one in the mind of the movie Speed. The bus you just can’t drive under 50MPH or you will explode from boredom. Toyota embodies a personality trait inherit to Toyota, a smooth ride. It’s light on its feet and handled the tight curves of Rock Creek Park with ease in the dark.
It didn’t turn many heads but I think the driver can take solace in the fact that the Sienna’s outward appearance trumps its competitors. Although it’s far from a wagon, it is all van. Dodge and Honda try to think outside the minivan box in design, which was novel but the results were not flattering.
The best thing about this vehicle is its interior. The dash and gear shift placement are eye-catching and practical. In the rear, Sienna’s second row lounge seats with recliner allow you to kick your feet up, literally … Mommy Rests in Recliner video. While each of the three rows allow for separate climate control. Bluetooth wireless music streaming, 10 cup holders, center console that slides in arm reach of second row passengers are a few of the amenities that make the Sienna cool at times.
The Toyota Sienna is a top pick among minivans but is no Swagger Wagon. Although, I will say the vehicle I tested didn’t have all the available swag. The buyer can add more swag but beware the price tag swells like a rap stars ego. Your call.
