On Friday, May 20th, Washington Area Bicyclist Association (WABA) is hosting Bike to Work Day in an effort to reduce our carbon footprints and cut out some of the area’s pollution. This also serves as good excercise, so that’s an added plus.
For this event, there are several pit stop locations — from Freedom Plaza, NW to Hyattsville, MD — and times to choose from, so see what’s happening where. Along with a day of exercise and saving the planet, food, drinks and entertainment will be available for participants. So whether you’re in the city or ‘burbs, you’ll be a part of the action.
Register now for your chance to win raffle prizes. Free “Bike to Work Day 2011″ t-shirts will be given to the first 8,500 to arrive at their pit stop of choice.
With gas prices as high as they are, I’m sure this event is bound to attract thousands.
Other Spring, Summer and Fall events have already been posted.
