WLB: So you want to have sex?

WLB: So you want to have sex?

by Qualamiya Hall (CEO, Diverse Gems)

When you have a sexual encounter with someone, you are sharing the most important thing you possess — your body. Giving your body to someone is something you can never get back no matter what you do. It is best to make sure that you are not sharing your body with someone you would not want to share anything else with. The only way to be sure of that is to take your time and get to know that person and what they are about. Making sure you have the same goals after the encounter, in the event that it should happen, is important. Making sure that you know the status of yourself and your potential partner is of utmost importance. And last but not least, making sure you have a connection with that person and that they have your best interest in mind is very important. If not, you may end of with feelings of emptiness and regret. Ultimately the decision is up to you. Your body is YOUR temple, and YOUR responsibility, not anyone else.

The only thing I would say differently, is knowing the status of your potential partner is even more important than having a good understanding of “who they are and what they are about,” if you will. And the only reason I say that, is due to the fact that having sex with someone could ultimately be the cause of death (on the extreme end). Yet in still, with that said, I think all of the points Qualamiya brings are equally important for the most part. And one definitely should not be over-looked in favor of another.

You make a great point! Knowing your status and the status of a potential sex partner is by far the most important when it comes to life or death. No one or no sexual encounter is worth your health or your life.
