IT’S ALL IN THE WRIST…..OR THE BRUSH, I SHOULD SAY!!!
I always get asked the question, “are the drug store brands just as good the big name brands?” My answer is always, “yes”. Just like the big name brands you have to try and try until you find the product that works best for you and your skin type.
When it comes to eyeshadows, lip colors, lip and eye lines, some products seem to have more pigment than others. Now, that does not mean it won’t work, it just means that you will have to build and build until you get the desired look. With that being said, I have always felt that it’s not about the product that you are using, it is more about how you are applying the product. That’s right, using the right brush makes all the difference.
I don’t usually endorse any particular product, but I do try products and provide you with my honest opinion of whether it worked for my clients and/or me. Lately, I have been on the search for great brushes at great prices and I just think, I may have found them, Sigma Makeup.
If you are a makeup artist and you have not heard of Sigma Brushes, then you must be living under a rock…..seriously! Sigma Makeup has become all the rage on YouTube, Sigma Page, Twitter and Facebook.
The company’s turn around time is amazing! I ordered my Sigma Brushes on a Wednesday night, late night to be exact; they were shipped out on Thursday and I received my brushes in the mail on Friday. Once I received them, I cleaned them, as you should all your new brushes, and then begin to play with them ! I must say, in comparison to some name brand brushes that I have purchased, that will remain nameless…..but start with “M”, these brushes are the BIZNESS! In comparison, they appear to be the same quality at a fraction of the cost. I purchased a 12 brush set, $69 (because I have more than enough brush rolls). Now if that ‘s not affordable, I don’t know what is. As a makeup artist, you don’t want to spend your money since you go through makeup and brushes quite a bit. So far, there haven’t been any fall out as of yet, so I’m giving the Sigma Brushes a two thumbs up!
